The Shipwreck

1 in stock

“The Shipwreck” is an original mixed media illustration on paper. This drawing representing Andrew Scott is a mixed story of both his plays Seawall and Hamlet. These two stories are mingled here to talk about grief and loss, and the emptiness his characters feel. This hole in his stomach is a direct reference to what he depicts in Seawall. The shipwreck is also referencing both the story he talks about, and the state of mind his characters are in.

Smiling to eternity is an original drawing made with micron pens, markers, Pitt Artist pen color pencils and white Posca pen on Canson tinted sheet.
