Winterlight Smile is inspired by Henry Golding as Tom in Last Christmas. This portrait is a celebration of everything I love about this character: warmth, humor, kindness, and that quietly magnetic charm Henry Golding brings to the role.

I wanted this piece to feel bright, gentle and magical, just like the character himself. The smile is open and sincere, and the overall mood is intentionally positive. This portrait radiates good vibes rather than drama.

The color work plays a central role here. Cool winter blues evoke snow, light and fresh air, while touches of gold suggest sunlight reflecting on ice. The result is a luminous balance between cold and warmth, creating a soft, hopeful atmosphere, very much in the spirit of Last Christmas.

This drawing is part of my Christmas trilogy, alongside portraits inspired by Emilia Clarke and Michelle Yeoh, each exploring a different facet of warmth, humanity and light during the holiday season.
