“Sea creature Anne” is an original color pencil portrait on toned tan paper. This drawing represents Clara Paget in her role of Anne Bonny in Black Sails. I wanted her to be more witchy to go with my Spectral Flint, because I started to imagine a sort of dark magical version of black sails. So I turned her into a sort of sorceress, or sea creature. I used an unusual combination of colors to really make her destabilizing and weird. But I still wanted her to have that fierce charm that Anne / Clara has.

Sea Creature Anne is an original drawing made with Faber Castell Polychromos color pencils and white Posca pens for highlights on a Strathmore paper 118g/m2 (80lb).
