Velvet Bite is inspired by a trailer from the upcoming season centered on Lestat (Sam Reid). This portrait captures the version of the character I have always envisioned from the novels: hypnotic, dangerous, magnetic, and deeply ancient.

This is a quiet but intense Lestat, elegant yet feral, seductive yet violent. A presence that doesn’t need to explain itself to be felt. The image draws on restraint and tension rather than spectacle, letting silence, gaze, and atmosphere do the work.

Color & Atmosphere

The color palette of Velvet Bite was carefully built to express Lestat’s dual nature.
Velvety purples evoke elegance and mystery, while sepia tones suggest something older, wild, and timeless. Touches of orange and soft cream hint at inner fire, desire, hunger, and restless energy beneath the surface.

Subtle textures and luminous highlights give the portrait a tactile, almost sensual quality, reinforcing both beauty and menace.
